Sulphide minerals are the major source of world supplies of a very wide range of metals. Lacking a distinct hyperspectral signature and typically disseminated in small grains, identification and quantification of sulphides has traditionally been a challenge for both visual and sensor-based analysis.
GeologicAI’s multi-sensor approach can easily identify, classify and quantify sulfides in the core. We use advanced AI to combine high-resolution low-information data with low-resolution high information data to overcome the limitation of individual sensors. Our software outlines every sulphide grain on the core allowing us to instantly generate accurate and repeatable high-resolution logs of grain count, size and volume.
In field studies equipped with our scanning robots, mineralized zones were found using AI to outline and type every sulfide with multiple devices.
