Enersoft is a private company founded in 2013. Enersoft’s Board of Directors are:
Michael Kelly – Chairman
Mr. Kelly is an independent businessman with over 25 years of leading growth oriented companies in domestic and international markets. From 2015 until 2017, Mr. Kelly was executive vice-president and CFO at PTW Energy Services Ltd. (“PTW”) (oilfield services), a private electric and instrumentation services company with operations spanning North America. From 2013 until joining PTW, Mr. Kelly was the president of Hogarth Ventures Ltd. (oil and gas) where he provided consulting and advisory services to clients involved in the energy sector. From 1997 until 2013, Mr. Kelly served as an executive with Trican Well Service Ltd. (“Trican”) (oil and gas); from 1997 to 2009, Mr. Kelly was the vice-president, finance and CFO, followed by the position of senior vice-president, EAME and CIS where he oversaw Trican’s international operations until his departure in 2013. Mr. Kelly graduated from the University of Calgary (1988) with a Bachelor of Commerce. He is a chartered accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, and is a certified director from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
Grant Sanden, P.Eng – Co-Founder and CEO
Mr. Sanden started his career at Imperial Oil in various engineering and management roles in both the downstream and upstream businesses. This was followed by partnership at geological consultants Sproule Associates where his teamed managed global unconventional resource development optimization. Prior to Enersoft, Mr. Sanden was president and partner at oil field service company which he grew to a successful exit. He has sat on the board of 4 companies related to oilfield software, services and engineering. He also advanced his education with a Citation in Geostatistics from the Centre for Computational Geostatistics at the University of Alberta.
Grant is an involved volunteer in his community of Millarville, Alberta.
Yannai Segal, M.Sc, P.Eng – Co-Founder and CTO
Prior to Enersoft, Mr. Segal held numerous positions at multiple multinational commodity companies over 13 years. Mr. Segal’s area of expertise is quantitative analysis for energy trading, specializing in asset optimization, deal origination, derivative structuring, forecasting, price arbitrage, project valuation, risk management, systems development and implementation, trading strategy and weather hedging.
Mr. Segal is an active volunteer in his community, having served four years as the president of the Board of Directors of Akiva Academy, a Calgary primary school, and currently serving as the president of the Board of Directors of the Calgary Jewish Federation and on the board of Jewish Federations of Canada -UIA. Mr. Segal has co-chaired charitable fundraising events and campaigns totaling over $8M over the past 10 years.
Michael Flach – General Council and Director
Mr. Flach graduated from the University of British Columbia with an LLB, which was preceded by a B.A. at the University of Calgary. Mr. Flach currently practices law at Greenfield Law, where he specializes in the area of business law and technology with an emphasis on corporate and commercial law. He has advised early-stage technology companies, financing, mergers and acquisitions and procurement strategies and processes.
